POSITION OVERVIEW (Explain general purpose of position/what are the goals):

The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance activities and oversees and directs provision of building janitorial functions.  This person also ensures compliance with city & state regulations and is the liaison for building related matters. 

 

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (List the functions that are essential to achieve the goals):

 

·        Direct facility repairs, installations, maintenance projects and ground improvement

·        Ensure compliance with OSHA, DHS, OTDA and FDNY safety and building regulations

·        Prioritize and allocate work space among various staff and coordinate facility renovations

·        Supervise and evaluate support staff responsible for facility operations and related services

·        Monitor distribution of petty cash and metro cards

·        Compile and submit reports, and provide other corresponding data as required

·        Consult with executive staff and other managers to ensure purchasing operations coincide with agency and program goals

·        Keep director informed of all relevant information and perform other related duties

·        Attend staff meetings and trainings to enhance skills that are related to job function

 

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE (List additional functions needed to reach goals):

·        Must be able to work flexible, alternate schedules

·        Other duties as requested by supervisor

 

EDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED (List all that is required to achieve this position):

·         Associate’s Degree (Bachelors Preferred) with 2 years related supervisory experience and 4 years experience working with similar population

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE (List what the desire to reach goals):

·         Knowledge of women’s and mental health issues, addiction and homelessness

·        Bilingual a plus

 

COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED (List the computer skills needed):

·         Advanced Computer Skills

·        The candidate should be able to read documents for analytical purposes
